K&K Sound - UltraPure Western 12-String Pickup

This version of the Pickup is already equipped with an UltraPure preamp that is placed inside the body, so playing is easily accessible.

The UltraPure System is an active (pickup + preamp) system for acoustic guitar. It consists of our award-winning Pure Pickup, an onboard preamp with soundhole access, an endpin jack, and a Velcro mounted 9-volt battery holder.

The newly designed UltraPure Preamp features +/-20 db bass/low, K&K's proprietary wide band midrange, and treble/high controls, plus internal gain trimmer. The addition of a phase switch is one of the most important tools for live sound amplification. Also includes a volume control and low battery indicator. All features are easily accessed at the soundhole.

The Pure System works with three Pickups (transducers) that are stuck under the bridge plate.
This eliminates an adaptation of the saddle, which saves a lot of work and fine tuning.
Besides, this is better for the sound of the guitar, because the strings the ceiling directly, without bringing additional disruption, to vibrate. So the natural, authentic and full sound of the wood is transferred, without the harsh and sterile metallic sound of a conventional piezo Pickup. What you hear is your guitar: the individual sound of your instrument and your playing style. Each of the transducer is for a pair of strings (EA, DG, HE) to produce a balanced sound and no string is extremely loud or soft. Being close to the bridge keeps the percussive sound of the strings in the sound and get the feedback sensitivity is low.

K&K Pickups are RoHS compliant. Piezoceramic is officially excluded.In the manufacture of ceramics, lead is used as it unfortunately currently there is no functional substitute.
